Am I late to the party or is this an undercover find?
Everyone's writing about the PRX, but I just stumbled across this beast - Tissot Seastar 1000 Quartz GMT 40mm
Maybe it's just my tastes, but a no bullshit quartz watch packed with good specs is right up my alley:
Case Material: 316L stainless steel case
Case Size: 40 mm
Case Thickness: 11.8 mm
Bezel: Black unidirectional diving bezel
Crystal: Sapphire
Movement: Quartz
Features: Date/GMT
Water resistance: 300m
Unsure if I'll buy myself, as I have a few higher priorities, but I think this ticks a lot of boxes. Especially at the price.

This reminds me of the Casio Duro minus the 40 mm size and GMT function. Awesome watch.
I don’t get the hype over the PRX but Seastar is a different story. The specs on this is incredible 👍
It’s something I wanted to buy my groomsmen years ago until covid struck (and I had to prioritise other finances). Extremely good value for money with versatile looks. I’ll add 3 points.
The movement is actually the ETA F06.412 (with a modified 6 o’clock date wheel display) which has an accuracy of +/- 10 sec per year
The 40mm automatic version with the powermatic 80 movement was released a few months ago (which you can also consider)
That being said, the quartz versions can now be had at discounted prices at many ADs, and for much lesser on the secondary market. I’ve seen it going for as low as 200-250 USD!
Go and try it at an AD and buy it at wherever that gives you the best price. This is a good time to get this model. Cheers!

Oh I need to edit this comment. Sorry, I mistook your post for the non-GMT version. My comments above are for the non-GMT seastar. However, the quartz movement they use are all really decent regardless, including this GMT one you mentioned.
I had very similar Rotary Hadley GMT. Quartz and very (!) precise
Yes, this one is quiet New I Think It was released in This year - Like you mentioned, i Think This is really a Great Choice if you’re looking for a GMT and Quartz watch / very versatile and sporty, i like it 😇
I personally own a SEASTAR powermatic 80 since 2018 - and i love it!! #tissot
