What is the best small 4-button digital watch?

I love classic digital "Collection" Casios - they're handy, cheap, utilitarian while looking stylish, and they don't get in the way, unlike G-shocks. You know them - F-91, A-168, A-700 etc. About 35 mm wide and below 10 mm thick.

But their functionality is limited: Just one alarm, no countdown timer and just three buttons. The famous Casio Royale AE-1200 trumps that, but it's basically as big as a G-Shock.

W-202/204/205/B-640 series has the same module as basic G-Shocks. Not the best looking and still just one alarm, but OK.

A-500, the tribute to the A-300. I'm not a traveller with a need for a travel watch, but it won my heart. It's my preferred choice as of now.

Or are there other Casio options? Or even non-Casio options? Timex T-80 is rather chic, despite starting the week on Sunday.

I've not worn sleeves this summer, but I'd imagine it's a little tall for it. As far as casual wear, it could work. I mostly use it in motion though. Here's a shot to give an idea of its height:

It reminds me of my G-shock - big, but well-fitting.

Strong contender. How's the viewing angle, though?

As good as a F-91W and an orange LED backlight with pretty good coverage.

Casio F-201. 5 alarms (fully customizable), countdown timer (with autorepeat option) dual time, 10 year battery, water resist and an EXCEPTIONALLY clear and detailed primary display with date, three letter day, and nice big time digits (and individual alarm indicators). It has a really nice green LED corner light with 3 second afterglow that actually does a great job, and it all slides under a sleeve with no trouble.

It is an underrated masterpiece from Casio.

I have the gold one, but they do have a more traditional colorway too that fits with the classic series pretty darn well, and one with a silver bezel too!

Oh, nice one! I don't love the look, but I had to get used to most rectangular Casios.

BTW. I thought that afterglow was the faint glow of an EL display after the light switches off. Casio and Timex alike do it.

Btw 2: Why does yours say "Illuminator", when you say that it has a corner LED? Illuminator is Casio's name for electroluminescent back light, just like Timex' Indiglo, isn't it?

And it's only available from a grey market dealer in my country. Why do the neat ones always have to die out first?

I don't know why they label it Illuminator even though it's an LED, there seem to be many models that do the same, some with two Amber lights, some with one green like this one... and some with actual EL. The afterglow feature for casio simply means the light stays on for a time after the button has been pressed.

I'm sorry it seems to be hard to find in your country though... here it is a $22 watch! Is ebay an option maybe, or a friend who can send one your way a possibility?

Grey itself isn't bad, but "grey only" means it's gonna disappear there as well. And after that, I'll ask Jeffrey. He even had my green Timex that was discontinued and unavailable everywhere else.
