It's such a splendid day for navigation that it's almost a Sinn.
Sinn are not allowed to call the 903 a Navitimer because they didn't buy the trade name when they went shopping and purchased the rest of Breitling assets. They did however do the next best thing and called it the Navigation Chronograph, because of course that it's not a Navitimer, absolutely not, how on earth would anyone think such a ludicrous idea?
It's a Navitimer. In some way it's even better than it's step brother from Breitling, but this is getting into an argument that I don't care a lot about. What I care about is the style and esthetic and here I must admit that Sinn didn't disappoint because they remained very close to the original concept and its origins.
I'm not going to claim that wearing the 903 is filling me with a need to enroll in a flight school, but it does satisfy my longing for a good automatic chronograph that is not too large, and has the 369 layout for its sub-dials that I find pleasant. Having this and the knowledge that it has a true legacy stretching to one of the first aviation's chronographs is also nice.
It's not perfect because the butterfly clasp is restricting how well it will fit to my wrist, but I was lucky and it's not too bad. In any case, I can always opt to fit it on a leather strap if I'll ever change my mind.
Ah yes, there's also a display case which show the column wheel clutch, but display cases are a bit wasted on me TBH.
What is not wasted is the morning because the forecast is for an exceptionally hot day with +28C and I can confirm that staying inside when it's so nice out is practically a sin. I should know it's one because I wear one.
Got my Sinn 104 on today too👍 thanks for the review and photos, lovely watch 💯
Cool watch. Would be even cooler if you’d actually understand / use all those neat looking numbers and scales (I for sure don’t 😂)
Amazing watch, one of my favourites from #sinn

Understanding isn't the problem, but eyesight is.

That could make things tricky in the cockpit 😬Just reading the time and enjoying the great looks on terra firma it is then :)
