Hey WC! I need some anecdotal feedback. I have this lifelong obsession for putting leather straps on digital Casios ๐ I think itโs the juxtaposition of high tech and dress/class that gets me.
I would LOVE to hear some candid, honest feedback from WC about this look. Am I totally crazy? Am I onto something? Do you do anything similar?

I actually really like the look, I gotta give it a try
That look really suits that a158 in particular! โค๏ธ
Definitely a thing. Here are the GA-2100 and the AE-1200 on Vario leather straps.

Yessss! Iโm obsessed!
It's proven, it works. Bare black resin not as much, but still does.
Exposed lugs (A158, A168...) work better with conventional shaped straps than hooded lugs do, but Casios are deisgned with flared tapering ones and that shape is best for hooded lugs and all cases with relatively narrow lugs. See the popular craze AE1200 + flared leather straps by Vario.
All looks good. You have matched the strap with the watch case to create a classy look.
Not a bracelet kind of guy, so I'm doing this to a lot of my digitals, not just Casio. I have also put Skmeis and Xonix on leather.
A particular no-brainer are AE1200-sized (strap vs case) Casios, like the B640W and the AE1000. Got myself a whole bunch of convex straps from Ali, and still keep some in reserve for future purchases.
