What would be your three watch collection if you could get whatever you want for free? Mine is the AP blue lacquer, GS white Birch and Tudor BB58

If they were free, my choices would be the Moser Pioneer, the Grand Seiko Shunbun and the Fears Brunswick Aurora. Total price approx £18,000. I am tempted to spend the years that saving up that much would take….

I am an old guy, no longer capable of fantansies but I do own the GS White Birch, my BB58 was purchased along with the PO1 since on permanent loan to my younger daughter. I have a pair of AP perpetual moonphases from the late 80s in a bank box that I intend to sell to a collector buddy but cannot identify any current watch that intrigues me greatly.
I’m a Tudor fan-boy, my choices would be BB Monochrome, BB 58 GMT and BB Chrono Two-Toned. 😎

My grail

Interesting concept. I have to wonder if your 3 grail watch achievements would stick for all time. My feeling is that once you get your pieces your eye will wander. So I am not sure you ever could obtain a true 3 piece collection and be happy, because the grail would always be the next one.

But in reality, I could never give up my Omega Moonwatch, Aquaterra, or Rolex Explorer.
Rolex submariner ref:6538 = every day watch
Patek Philippe ref:3980 = dress watch
Zodiac seawall astrographic = fun/conversation starter watch
My picks are:
JLC Reverso Tribute or Patek Philippe Calatrava 6119G - Very difficult to choose between these two, as I can't really tell which one I like more as a formal dress watch.
Omega Speedmaster 57 - sports watch
Grand Seiko SBGM221 - everyday watch, can dress up or down easily
By the way, I think the AP Code 11.59 you picked is a nice watch. I like this earlier model (the first?) more than the more recent versions.
