Casio Forester early 90's I believe. This was my field watch for a good part of the 20 years I spent in the Guard. I think wabisabi is the life and experiences that live in scratches and blemishes we put on the things we possess and remain as monuments to the lives tied to them. Wabisabi to me is the traces left of the lives we live transferred to the objects around us. And with that, on a less serious note, some of us (like me) who are clumsy leave a lot more wabisabi behind than others so the concept in unique to the individual.https://www.watchcrunch.com/BlacknSilver35/posts/my-actual-field-watch-303620

Really nice post, Steve and a good way of looking at Wasabi-S.. "traces left of the lives we live" 😎

Terrific watch and post, Steve!

Great watch well looked after even though it has the dents n scratches Steve!

I’m not quite into the wabi sabi etc philosophy, the only imperfect traces I leave behind in life are washed away at approx 7 am every morning 😉😂🤣🤪😜🤣😂

Have a cracking day bud 👍🏻

Looks great on Nato

Thanks Dev. The nato became a necessity when the original OEM strap gave up after almost 20 years. LOL I really liked the OEM strap but to replace it was more than the cost of the watch.

Great way of saying that. We remember the stories behind the scars we get on our bodies. Interesting how we hold dear the worn things we carry, in a similar way. Have a great day, Steve!

I do enjoy watches with a story. I also read We Were Soldiers Once... and Young. I'm wanting to say my dad got to meet Galloway once and to talk to Moore on the phone.

·

Stealthy Steve! Awesome that you still have this guy in the collection.

It is a very good read. I finally got The Grey Man. Have just started it. Decent so far.
