Help finding a white GMT

My brother has been searching for a white dial GMT automatic steel watch.

He’s a guy who likes to tramp over the Alps on high trails, ramble across England and explore the Dardanelles with his wife. They’re outdoors people.

Below are the general specs:

  • White dial (possibly light cream)

  • 10bar water resistant minimum

  • No bling

  • Solid tough case

  • Not Seiko or Citizen

  • Automatic movement

  • 37 - 39/40mm size

  • Under CDN $3000.00

Please provide photos.

Thank you very much for your time!

Thanks! He’s already decided not to get that one. He’s a tough sell!

Is it possible he just wants to save for an Explorer 2?

If he’s in London he can make an appt in the showroom and see the watch in person

Is it possible he just wants to save for an Explorer 2?

No. He has an aversion to that brand. He prefers uncommon watches. It’s been a nightmare searching for him. I volunteered to help because I’m a SICK WATCH FREAK.

But boy, help is needed.

Thanks, though. That’s a reasonable question!

He owns a C. Ward already. He really knows that he doesn’t want it. Sigh.

·

If he’s eliminated Seiko and Christopher Ward already; for that budget the Longines Zulu may be the only one left.

I've owned this one - It's an amazing watch. Omega Seamaster GMT 50th Anniversary "Great White". It wears smaller than it measures at 41mm, so if you can compromise there, it fits everything, and is an amazing classic. If you find a deal, it can fit the budget.

Here’s another issue! He’s got slim wrists and 40mm is an absolute maximum. And I’ve seen proof. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Tell him to up his sodium intake so his wrists swell all the time. It’s worth it 🤣🤣🤣

Recently got my Sinn 105 utc and I think it’s great.

I know it's much cheaper, but....

Depends if he's someone that only sticks to well known established brands. Otherwise, the quality is there.

I certainly do, good luck it looks like you’ve got a load of decent choices here.

A load? How about a Tsunami?! Whew! I got such a generous outpouring of thoughtful suggestions it was frankly humbling. I’m very grateful to this community.

So Maen has a 38mm GMT for $982 USD with whole bunch of bracelet options; it’s got a sellita swiss movement plus this brand’s been catching a lot of enthusiasts’ eyes lately

Edit: I see @Watchovski, @Socrates69, and @barbecuejag already mentioned it above though haha

It’s really nice. Unfortunately my brother doesn’t care for cushion cases, or variants. He doesn’t care for my Farer Mansfield for that reason.

We’re all a little bit weird in our own ways.

But I have sent him a link. Thanks!
