I don’t get what people have against the He valve.
I’m an owner of the black on rubber strap and am a huge fan.
Is it perfect, no. Is it brilliant, oh you bet it is.
It’s not as flashy as a Rolex but then again, I don’t have to worry about people trying to steal it :)
I personally think they look great. I would have this over a #rolex any day.

The SM Diver 300M is not perfect but it is one of my favorites, it’s available and the price is reasonable.

It’s still a good looking watch, and to me it’s actually flashier than a Sub.
I can’t speak for others, but for me that valve is not only unattractive, it’s unnecessary. Plenty of other watches get this WR and dive cred without it, so why put it there? And if you really must, integrate the thing, don’t just hang it off the side like that. It looks like an engineering fail on Omega’s part, but I respect them too much to believe that. I think they did it that way on purpose. People buy a lot of these watches so it must work for them, I just don’t like it.
