Which Dirty Dozen Homage Would You Choose?

I have a cheap Seizenn (Merkur) Dirty Dozen homage which houses an in house Fanzhi M01X/D mechanical hand wind movement. Not much info on it. Recently, it has begun winding... Not nicely, and even unwinds sometimes as well. It's not economical to repair & outside of warranty. I am looking at possibile options to replace it when it gives up. I really like the Dirty Dozen designs and want to keep one in my collection. The first 3 choice are all Baltany. I recently bought one for my brother and I am really impressed with their quality. Leaning towards this option & will hopefully keep it longer without mechanical mishap. 100 & 200M Water resistance with screw down crown is also important to me. First 2 use Seiko VD78 Quartz & the other is a Seagull ST1701 automatic. Last choice is a Seizenn replacement, this time with a sterile dial. I really like this watch, but movement longevity is unknown. What would you choose? Especially from these short list colour selections?

I definitely feel like the basic colors (black/white) fit the watch better than the blue, and without the logo it just feels empty.

If you’re totally into a mechanical piece then my suggestion may be moot. That said, VAER has a quartz version of a dirty dozen inspired piece in both 36mm and 40mm. I love mine.

I'll definitely look into it. Thanks 🤝

Cream dial isn't Dirty Dozen, but better IMHO - it's more ATP, which were worn far more during the War as DD weren't issued until towards the end of the War.

So the ATP gets my vote as it's got more historical significance even though the DD's get the glory. (A bit like our American cousins coming in at the end & saving our arses)

Bought the black Baltany last year and love it. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality and love the look. To me it replicated the look of the originals but in a bigger size. I also wanted the crows foot on the dial. Very happy with it, especially for the price. Bought is new from a highlybrated “Baltany dealer” on eBay.

question for you, as I've been tempted to buy a cheap D12 watch for a while now. Does the small second hand tick at every second, or it is a nice sweep ?

Ticks every second. Most of my other watches are mechanical so I prefer a smooth sweep but the “every second tick” doesn’t irk me with this piece. It really is a gorgeous watch and wears very well.

Thanks for the info. I've been looking for a D12 for a while now, I just don't want to spend 1k$+ for a Vertex or an ultra cheap one. Vaer is on my radar with the Baltany for a while, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet (I'm saving for something bigger)

That’s not just a white dial though. Looks like it has some texture/pattern to it.
