Charles Gigandet S.A. was founded in Tramelan, Switzerland after WWII and enjoyed great success across Europe and the US.
The brand over time became part of a federation that included brands such as:

Unfortunately, like many European watch companies in the 80's, Gigandet seized it's operation due to the introduction of quartz watches "the quartz crisis".
The Gigandet brand was brought back to life in 2009 by Hans Meeder and Christian Schmidt who wanted to continue the philosophy and tradition that saw the brand enjoy it's time under the sun.
The Gigandet pulsation line is a medical watch that can help measure the heart rate using the scales found around the rim.
