I have two Orbita single winders that I used to use all the time. However as my collection grew swapping watches in and out of the winders started to become a pain. I am selling one and keeping the other for when my Omega great white gets back from service. I will use the winder exclusively for that piece so I don’t have to fuss with the gmt function as much. The rest of my watches sit in their watch box now. The other thing I will add is that for every comment of “don’t do it because of shortened service lifespan” I find an equal comment of “watches that sit can lose their oil as well”. These comments come from some leading servicers of mechanical and automatic timepieces. I personally don’t think that it matters one way or the other. Keep them wound on a winder or keep them in a watch box.
