Thanks to all who commented on my post yesterday on deciding on the watch size. Everyone was incredibly helpful and there were some great tips in there too.

My learning experience from this and based on the comments I got:

  1. Try get someone else to take a photo or video of the watch on your wrist. From the shots I took, neither photos accurately showed how this wore.

  2. Have a look in a full length mirror. A pocket shot certainly gave a different perspective to how it appeared.

  3. Go with your heart. The comments helped amplify my gut feeling and at the end of the day, it has to sit right with you.

  4. Try holding the strap rather than closing it (depending on the watch of course). This strap is stiff. It would not wrap around my wrist well. It maintained a stiff shape that cut into my wrist (as could be seen clearly in the previous post photos). But holding it shut gave me an idea of how the watch fits without the strap distraction. The strap can be changed.

So which size did a settle on? 🥁

I’m a huge fan of the movie and ever since seeing the release of this watch I knew I had to get it. I had every intention of going 42 due to its screen accurate appearance and the neat ‘Eureka’ on the seconds hand but once I put it on, my heart sank a little and it didn’t feel right. This is not to knock the 42, I still think it looks good and more power to anyone who rocks that size but for me I needed this to be something versatile to wear while having that movie connection and the 38 just put a smile back on my face when I tried it. So that was the winner and I think the comments largely agree.

Regardless of size, everyone would agree, this is the Interstellar watch.

Good choice in size and great watch. There no point in buying the sort of one from the film and it’s not right as you will eventually stop wearing it.

Just incase you didn’t know the watch didn’t actually exist when the film was made and they didn’t plan on making it, it was pure watch fan power that pushed them to make it. So if someone says you bought the wrong one and it’s not the right one from the film there full of 💩 💩
