Brotherly ties

I recently moved away from my family to a new city with my fiance to start a life with her. Before I left, I got myself and my 2 brothers these Casio World Timers.

I set our cities' timezones, as well the timezones of our family back in SE Asia, so now we always have some connection to each other's lives.

It's the cheapest, but easily one of my favorite pieces, with the most functions to boot. This thing gets loads of wrist time since I enjoy cooking. The timer, stopwatch, and alarm come in super handy for that.

It shows how little you can spend to get huge joy out of this hobby. It's dirt cheap, looks sick, feather light, tough as all hell, and super customizable (I deleted the world timer and illuminator wording to make the design a bit cleaner). And thanks to it, I now have a little extra connection to my family spread out among all these different cities.

Great idea to create a feeling of connectedness! I use my GMTs more for that purpose than for travel and such.

What a nice thought and perfect watches for the job.

How did you delete the wording from the case? It was a good move.

A simple alcohol dipped Q-tip, and a bit of elbow grease! I can do that with the 10year battery, 5 alarms, or any other writing printed on the watch case and dial

Love the idea!
